“My journey began 33 years ago when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Walking that path without someone to guide me throughout the process was emotionally strenuous and overwhelming. It’s something I never want anyone else to have to go through alone. Fortunately my mother won her fight with cancer, and I count my blessings every day for it. The overwhelming feeling of not knowing what to do, who to turn to, and how to handle her care, is what led me to become an advocate for families. I’m committed to being there for families to help guard, educate, listen, support, and direct them through the care and placement process, so no one will have to walk this path alone again.”
